Valeo Foods Ireland has a long and proud history supporting local Irish charities. With the impact of Covid-19 on many of our lives, we knew that these charities needed our support more than ever.
Over the last three years we have donated close to €200,000 in both cash and food donations to support the extraordinary work of The Simon Community in working to prevent and address homelessness. We are committed to continuing our support over the coming months and years
The Irish Cancer Society was forced to cancel their Daffodil Day due to Covid-19, so we decided to help with a call to action. The Irish Cancer Society does tremendous work to raise €20 million each year funding vital services for patients across Ireland. To help, our colleagues donated online, and as a symbol of our solidarity wore yellow on Daffodil Day.
We also have a long-standing relationship with the Jack & Jill Foundation who provide in-home nursing and respite care to very sick children and their families. We offered our support when their fundraising efforts had been put on hold due to Covid-19. With the help and support of our agency and media partners, the time and skills of the marketing team and creative funds donated by the Odlums brand, we created a campaign to drive donations. We were proud and delighted that the campaign delivered over €500,000.
