Building Valeo Foods Group

Valeo Foods is a fast-growing international consumer foods business, generating annual net sales of approximately €2.0 billion in 2024. We have grown our business through acquisition, integration and a relentless focus on innovation in everything we do.

We are Growing

We are growing a portfolio of leading brands in key categories including wafers, cakes and biscuits, confectionery (sugar and chocolate), naturally sweet (maple and honey), savoury snacks and Ireland ambient foods.

We pursue a ‘buy and build’ expansion strategy that involves acquiring attractive businesses that we can add value to and help grow internationally. We integrate these businesses into our existing operating platforms, giving them access to our Group best practices and tools, scale in procurement and operations, and plug them into our international sales network.

The Beginning

Our story began in 2010 with the acquisition and merger of Origin Foods and Batchelors, two of Ireland’s most successful branded consumer food companies. Origin Foods had extensive manufacturing facilities, a client base including major retail, bakery and foodservice channel leaders and a portfolio of market leading brands including Odlums, Shamrock and Roma.

In addition to its iconic canned vegetables brand, the Batchelors business also included a number of other well known household brands such as Erin, Sqeez, Amigo and Lustre.
